Artane

Description

Artane (generic name: trihexyphenidyl; brand names include: Triphen) belongs to a group of medicines known as anticholinergic agents.

Artane is used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease.

Artane is also used in the treatment of extrapyramidal symptoms (involuntary movements) caused by certain psychiatric drugs.

Artane is usually taken 3-4 times daily with meals and at bedtime.
